This contract position, based near Winchester, TN, provides an exciting opportunity to work with elementary-level students and implement best practices in special education. You will serve as a specialist for students with unique learning needs, collaborating closely with general education staff and families to ensure every child receives the support they deserve. Your expertise in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), inclusion/pull-out services, and data-driven instruction will be valued each day.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Active Tennessee Special Education teaching license/certification with appropriate endorsements
- Demonstrated success with IEP creation, implementation, and monitoring
- Experience using progress monitoring tools and protocols
- Strong skills in differentiating instruction and providing data-driven support
- Proven ability to collaborate with general education teachers and families
- Previous experience in an elementary school setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective IEPs tailored to individual students
- Deliver instruction through both inclusion and pull-out models
- Collaborate with general education educators, paraprofessionals, and service providers
- Maintain communication with families regarding student progress and goals
- Track data and adjust instruction to meet evolving needs of students
