What we're seeking:

• Valid 461 Tennessee Special Education teaching license (required)
• Prior experience with K-2 or primary elementary special education preferred
• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to the social, emotional, and academic growth of each student

Key responsibilities:

• Create and deliver effective lessons based on students’ IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to meet diverse learning styles
• Foster a positive, structured, and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Work closely with related service providers, families, and other staff
• Track progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Support social and behavioral development through evidence-based strategies
