Special Education Teacher in Winder, GA

An opportunity is available for a certified Special Education Teacher experienced in self-contained autism support classrooms. This elementary position focuses on delivering the general curriculum to 1st and 2nd-grade students with behavioral needs. The role is based in Winder, GA, at an elementary school and follows a contract arrangement for the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained autism support classroom
• Deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the general curriculum
• Address and manage behavioral challenges effectively
• Collaborate with classroom staff, specialists, and families to support student success

Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Adaptive Special Education or General Special Education certification
• Certification in all subject areas (P-5 reading, writing, science, social science, math)
