Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized, evidence-based instruction for students enrolled in the GNETS program
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications
- Employ positive behavioral interventions and maintain effective classroom management
- Collaborate closely with school administrators, related service professionals, families, and fellow educators
- Maintain compliance documentation and track student progress
- Adapt teaching strategies across all academic content areas to meet diverse learning needs
- Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment promoting each student's success
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Special Education General Curriculum Certification
- Certification in all core academic content areas (Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies)
- Proficiency in behavior intervention strategies and differentiated classroom management
- Experience creating and delivering effective IEPs
- Three professional reference checks required, including a recent supervisor
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with GNETS or teaching in alternative educational settings
- Background supporting students with emotional and behavioral challenges
- CPI, de-escalation, or behavior management training
