This position focuses on supporting students with diverse learning needs, placing a strong emphasis on English Language Arts (ELA) instruction. The assignment runs from August 5, 2026 through May 19, 2026, offering an engaging and impactful experience in a collaborative, student-centered environment.

What you’ll bring:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (active or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience teaching at the high school level preferred
  • Strong background or interest in ELA (English Language Arts)
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
  • Passion for fostering growth and advocating for student success

What you’ll do:

  • Provide specialized instruction in ELA for high school students with varying needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Create and adapt lesson plans tailored to each student’s IEP goals
  • Monitor and document students’ progress and adjust interventions as needed
