Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia Special Education General Curriculum Certification
  • Certification across all academic content areas (please provide credentials)
  • Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs
  • Able to provide three professional references (one must be a current or recent supervisor)

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in GNETS or alternative education settings
  • Experience working with students with emotional/behavioral disorders
  • CPI, de-escalation, or similar behavior management training

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to middle school students within the GNETS program
  • Develop individualized IEP goals and accommodations
  • Employ behavioral interventions and positive supports in the classroom
  • Coordinate with administrators, families, and support staff
  • Monitor student progress and ensure compliance documentation is maintained
  • Create a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment
