A rewarding contract opportunity is available for passionate Special Education Teachers in an innovative educational setting. Two dedicated professionals are needed for a pioneering high school pilot program, supporting students with diverse needs including executive function challenges, Autism, and severe behavioral concerns. Collaboration with a tech center enables students to build essential employment and life skills, making flexibility and creative approaches especially valued in this role.
Additionally, an enthusiastic teacher is sought for an elementary team environment serving students with learning disabilities and high-functioning Autism. The collaborative team includes other special educators as well as PT/OT support, fostering an atmosphere of teamwork focused on student achievement in reading, writing, and math.
Requirements:
- Valid Vermont Professional Teaching License with one of the following:
- Special Educator Endorsement
- Special Education Consulting Teacher Endorsement
- Intensive Special Education Teacher Endorsement
- Ability to obtain or provide fingerprinting clearance (district will accept recent approved fingerprints)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Flexible, team-oriented, and willing to embrace creative instructional methods
- Experience preparing students for real-world transitions (workforce and life skills) preferred, especially for high school caseloads

- Differentiate instruction for a range of abilities and support needs
- Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and families to promote student growth
- Prepare and adapt curriculum for both academic and functional skills
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Contract Details:
- Full-time (35 hours per week), onsite for the 2026-2027 academic year (August 19, 2026 – June 14, 2027)
