Make a meaningful impact working as a Special Education Teacher, supporting elementary students in a school setting for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity covers the 2026-2027 school year, spanning from August through June. You’ll be dedicated to a 1st and 2nd grade caseload, providing targeted guidance and tailored instruction for young learners, Monday through Friday, in a full-time role of 32.5–37.5 hours per week.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
  • Experience collaborating with general education staff to support student inclusion
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Positive attitude toward supporting early elementary students

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and interventions to 1st and 2nd graders
  • Develop, review, and carry out IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with support staff, administrators, families, and related service providers
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate records for student growth and compliance
  • Participate in team meetings, conferences, and professional development activities
  • Foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment
