Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in elementary settings
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility, positivity, and a collaborative spirit
- Experience with in-person classroom management and engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction to elementary students with diverse learning needs
- Adapt and modify teaching materials and strategies to suit various abilities and learning styles
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for all assigned students
- Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
- Attend scheduled team, parent, and staff meetings as required
