Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience teaching in a self-contained classroom, preferably with students with ASD
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Collaborative mindset to partner with other educators, support staff, and families
• Patience, creativity, and adaptability to meet diverse learner needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment for K-5 students with ASD
• Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals and objectives
• Employ evidence-based strategies to support communication, social skills, and academic growth
• Monitor student progress, track data, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with a team of teachers, therapists, and school administrators
• Foster positive relationships with students and their families to promote engagement and progress
• Utilize assistive technology and adaptive resources when appropriate
