A contract opportunity awaits for a dedicated Special Education Teacher with certification to work with a diverse age group ranging from 5 to 22 years old. This position involves guiding students with severe behavioral challenges across multiple subjects, providing individualized instruction, and fostering a supportive space for growth and learning.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for grades K-12
• Experience with self-contained, multi-age, and severe/behavioral classrooms preferred
• Confidence working with students ages 5–22, adapting materials to meet varied developmental levels
• Versatility in teaching several academic subjects
• Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
• Collaborative mindset with support staff and families

Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction across core academic content for groups up to 9 students per class
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Establish a positive and structured classroom environment, modeling and reinforcing appropriate behaviors
• Adapt curriculum and teaching techniques for diverse learning styles and abilities
• Communicate regularly with families and interdisciplinary teams regarding student progress and strategies
• Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and behavioral interventions
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions
