Special Education Teacher - Woodburn, Oregon

Embrace a rewarding role supporting students with diverse learning needs in an onsite, full-time contract position starting September 9, 2026, and concluding June 26, 2027. This opportunity offers the chance to make a significant difference across K-12 settings, with multiple openings for enthusiastic and dedicated Special Education Teachers.

Assignments will be tailored to your expertise and preferences, with options including:

• A middle school life skills program (12 students, 4 instructional assistants; focus on behavior and foundational academic skills).
• An elementary K-2 developmental classroom (16 students, 5 instructional assistants; emphasis on basic skills, functional routines, and supporting non-verbal students).
• Two elementary behavior programs (grades 3-5, 13 students, 4 instructional assistants each; working with students in our most intensive behavioral health environment).

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with students in K-12 settings, especially in specialized or behavioral classrooms
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach alongside instructional assistants and team members
• Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and flexible in navigating diverse student needs
• Skilled in implementing individualized education plans and evidence-based interventions

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction and support to students with varying abilities and backgrounds
• Develop and adapt lessons to student goals and IEP requirements
• Foster a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment
• Collaborate with instructional assistants and related service staff
• Regularly communicate student progress with families and support teams
