Special Education Teacher - Woodstock, CT

With a schedule from 7:15 AM – 2:30 PM, you'll work closely alongside educators who value collaboration and student-focused success.

Your primary focus will be delivering targeted instruction and support in both inclusion and resource classroom settings while keeping student IEP goals at the forefront of your planning. By maintaining open lines of communication with general education teachers and support staff, you’ll foster an environment where every student can flourish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer individualized and group instruction in alignment with students’ IEPs
• Teach within both inclusion and resource classroom settings
• Partner with general education teachers to promote student growth and integration
• Track, monitor, and document student progress, making instructional adjustments when needed
• Adhere to state and district special education standards and best practices

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher Certification for grades 9–12 (provisional licenses not accepted)
• Previous experience working with high school students with mild to moderate disabilities in similar educational settings is preferred
• Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
