Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience working with grades 4-8 preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and compliance
- Familiarity with resource room models and pull-out instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct resource and pull-out services for students in grades 4-8, focusing on academic and behavioral growth
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt instructional materials and methods to address each student’s learning goals
- Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress through assessments and data collection
- Consult with classroom teachers to integrate accommodations and modifications
- Communicate regularly with families, offering updates and support
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
