Special Education Teacher - Woonsocket, RI

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary students, especially PreK-2
• Strong background managing social/emotional caseloads
• Ability to differentiate instruction for a wide range of student needs
• Collaborative approach with other educators and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education programs for students in a hybrid resource setting
• Provide focused social/emotional support to help students thrive academically and personally
• Collaborate with classroom assistants and other special education professionals
• Foster a safe, caring, and respectful classroom atmosphere
• Track progress and communicate effectively with families and the school team
• Adjust instruction as needed for students who require additional support within the classroom setting
