Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific preferred)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Successful experience teaching students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each student's unique needs
- Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, aides, therapists, and families
- Track student progress, complete evaluations, and maintain accurate records in compliance with all regulations
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture that celebrates each learner’s strengths
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions
