Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific preferred)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
  • Successful experience teaching students with mild to moderate disabilities
  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each student's unique needs
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, aides, therapists, and families
  • Track student progress, complete evaluations, and maintain accurate records in compliance with all regulations
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
  • Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture that celebrates each learner’s strengths
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions
