An opportunity is available for experienced special education teachers at an elementary school located in Worcester, MA. This contract position spans the current school year and offers a collaborative work environment supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Two distinct roles are available:
Grade 3 Inclusion Teacher
- Collaborate closely with grade-level teachers and colleagues to support a caseload of 10-15 students.
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
- Provide instruction and support in an inclusive classroom setting.
- Work Monday through Friday from 8:20 AM to 3:40 PM, with Tuesday afternoons reserved for meetings and professional development.
K-2 Special Education Teacher for Cooperative Learning Classroom (CLC)
- Lead instruction in a partially sub-separate classroom serving Kindergarten through 2nd grade students.
- Currently responsible for 2 students who split time between the CLC and inclusion classrooms.
- Collaborate with a classroom assistant and support a student requiring 1:1 assistance.
- Attend meetings and trainings on Tuesday afternoons, with regular hours of 8:20 AM to 3:40 PM, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience in inclusive classroom settings and collaborative teaching environments.
- Ability to manage caseloads and participate in IEP development and implementation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
