Special Education Teacher in Worcester, MA

Step into a rewarding full-time contract role supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher for 2nd and 3rd grade students with developmental delays or intellectual impairments. The assignment is onsite and begins as soon as possible, continuing through June 25, 2026. Build meaningful connections and foster student growth in a collaborative, school-based environment from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active MA teaching license/certification for Moderate or Severe Disabilities
• Prior experience working in a school setting is required
• Comfortable managing a caseload of 2nd and 3rd grade students with developmental delays or intellectual impairments
• Successfully completed (or the ability to utilize a suitable prior result) for CORI background check and fingerprinting
• Ability to engage families and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design and implement specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs and IEP goals
• Monitor, document, and report student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student success
• Collaborate closely with support staff, administrators, and families to support each child's growth
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
• Maintain compliance with state guidelines and school procedures
