What We're Seeking:

  • Active Massachusetts Moderate Disabilities certification (required)
  • Previous experience teaching special education at the middle school level is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of co-teaching models and inclusive education practices
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Excellent communication skills, organization, and adaptability
  • A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-teach in varied middle school classrooms, delivering specially designed instruction for students with moderate disabilities
  • Collaborate in lesson planning and instructional delivery with general education partners
  • Adapt curriculum and implement accommodations and modifications.
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Communicate regularly with families and school staff to ensure student growth and well-being
  • Support the development of student self-advocacy and independence
