Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience working in inclusion settings, preferably at the middle school or intermediate level
• Background in differentiated instruction and behavior management
• Ability to collaborate effectively with co-teachers and support staff
• Strong communication skills for building relationships with students, colleagues, and families
• Comfort with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

• Co-teach alongside a general education teacher during core academic periods
• Support intervention initiatives, ensuring all students receive tailored instruction and assistance as needed
• Implement and track IEP goals while adapting content and assessments
• Establish a positive, structured classroom atmosphere that encourages respect and engagement
• Maintain open communication with team members and families, providing updates on student progress
• Participate in school-based meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions
