This contract opportunity is for a 7th Grade Inclusion Teacher working full-time throughout the academic year in an intermediate school setting near Worcester, MA. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a co-teacher, providing targeted interventions to create an inclusive and supportive classroom for a diverse group of 26 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-teach daily lessons alongside another dedicated educator to foster an inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs), interventions, and classroom accommodations.
  • Monitor and document student progress, communicating outcomes with families and educational staff.
  • Adapt instructional materials to address a variety of learning styles and needs.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students to support their academic and social-emotional development.
  • Attend IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and staff collaborations as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification).
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in an inclusion or co-teaching setting.
  • Familiarity with 7th grade curriculum and effective intervention techniques.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, equitable classroom environment.
