Special Education Teacher - Worcester, MA

The position follows regular school-day hours, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, allowing you a consistent schedule and the ability to fully engage with your students in a supportive environment.

Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts Special Education Teacher Certification (MA Sped Certified)
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher, ideally in a middle school setting
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to implement them effectively
• Excellent communication skills for partnering with teachers, families, and support staff
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver targeted instruction tailored to students’ individual learning needs
• Write, implement, and monitor IEP goals in accordance with state and district guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies
• Provide support and advocacy for students in both general and resource classroom settings
• Communicate progress and strategies to families and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all documentation requirements
