Special Education Teacher - Yoder, CO

Key qualifications and skills:

• Valid state licensure as a Special Education Teacher
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
• Proven classroom experience working with children who have learning or developmental disabilities
• Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with staff, parents, and support teams
• Proficiency in adapting curriculum and utilizing differentiated instruction techniques
• Compassionate, patient, and creative approach to student engagement

Primary responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction based on IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching techniques to address unique needs
• Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student development and educational goals
• Maintain accurate records, including progress reports and documentation required for IEP meetings
• Foster a supportive, positive classroom environment to inspire confidence and academic growth
