Pennsylvania Emotional Support Special Education Teaching Opening

A school district in Pennsylvania is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to work in an Emotional Support classroom serving 2nd–4th grade students. This position is fully onsite and focuses on supporting students with social-emotional and behavioral needs in a structured learning environment.

Assignment Details:

• Start/End Dates: ASAP – June 2, 2026

• Grade Levels: 2nd–4th grade

• Program: Emotional Support Classroom

• Location: Pennsylvania

• Setting: Onsite only

Key Duties:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ IEPs

• Support students with emotional regulation, coping strategies, and behavioral goals

• Implement and monitor behavior plans and classroom supports

• Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including counselors, administrators, and families

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education certification required

  • Instructional I or Instructional II (or ability to secure certification prior to start date)

• Experience in Emotional Support or behavior-focused classrooms strongly preferred

• Ability to create a calm, consistent, and supportive classroom environment
