A contract Special Education Teacher is needed to manage itinerant pre-school responsibilities throughout the Hanover region, with a home base at NOCO. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and support teams across various settings, ensuring that each child’s needs are met with care and expertise from July 1, 2026, through September 11, 2026, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
What we’re looking for:
- Active Pennsylvania teaching certification (must submit with resume)
- Experience or passion for serving young children in pre-school special education
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to travel between school sites and service areas; reliable transportation required
- Skilled at building rapport with children, families, and team members
- Adaptability and commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Delivering individualized and small-group instruction as outlined in student IEPs
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to create supportive learning environments
- Traveling between assigned school and community sites in the Hanover and Adams County area
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate records, and compiling required documentation
- Providing guidance and resources to caregivers and educational staff
- Charitably addressing challenges with flexibility and creative solutions
