Special Education Teacher - York, PA

You'll work on-site alongside a dedicated team, providing instruction and support in Autistic Support Rooms. While assignments may be subject to change, your expertise and adaptability will be highly valued.

This contract position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., beginning August 2026 and concluding in June 2027. Get started as soon as your Pennsylvania clearances and required pre-training are completed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education.
• Experience teaching or supporting students within special education settings, particularly those with autism spectrum disorders.
• Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and differentiated teaching strategies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with support staff, therapists, and families.
• Ability to maintain an encouraging and structured classroom environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Plan and deliver engaging, individualized instruction for students in Autistic Support Rooms.
• Adapt lessons and classroom activities to meet each student's unique needs and goals.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, support staff, and administration to optimize student success.
• Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with IEPs and state requirements.
• Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere to promote student growth and independence.
