Grades K - 5 Grades 6 - 8 Special Education Teacher in York, PA

This contract opportunity, located near York, PA, invites passionate educators with a background in K-12 Special Education to provide both Emotional Support for grades 2-4 and Autistic Support for 1st and 2nd grades. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding students toward academic and personal growth, utilizing evidence-based strategies tailored to unique learning needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid Special Education teaching certification (K-12) required—emergency certifications not accepted
• Experience delivering instruction in one or more of the following grade bands: K-5, 6-8, or 9-12
• Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs, accommodations, and behavioral interventions
• Previous work supporting students with emotional and/or autistic needs preferred
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with general education staff, families, and service providers
• Adaptable, compassionate, and dedicated to fostering an inclusive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted, individualized instruction in both pull-out and push-in models as needed
• Design and implement goals in alignment with students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Track progress, communicate effectively with families, and maintain accurate documentation
• Use positive behavior supports and evidence-based strategies tailored to emotional and autistic support needs
• Engage in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing collaboration to promote student success
