Special Education Teacher - Yorkville, IL

In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement effective goals and instructional strategies tailored to each student’s IEP.
• Deliver differentiated instruction, adapting materials and approaches to meet diverse learning needs.
• Monitor academic and behavioral progress using data-driven assessments and regular reporting.
• Support classroom routines and behavior management, promoting a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
• Engage actively in IEP meetings, maintaining open communication with families to foster student growth.
• Work closely with general education staff, therapists, and service providers to ensure comprehensive support.
• Provide supervision and guidance for paraprofessionals, helping build a collaborative classroom team.

To be considered, candidates should have:

• A valid Illinois Professional Educator License.
• LBS1 endorsement, preferably with K–12 coverage.
• Experience working with students with disabilities is highly valued.
• Strong skills in communication, organization, and classroom management.
