Special Education Teacher Job in Yorkville, IL

We are seeking a certified Special Education Teacher to join our team in Yorkville, Illinois. In this role, you'll work with a high school grade band with a primary focus on social studies and history. The classroom will cover 4 sections of functional social studies and 1 section of co-taught US History.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that align with students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.
• Monitor student progress through ongoing assessments, data collection, and progress reporting.
• Modify curriculum and instructional materials to accommodate individual learning needs.
• Maintain accurate educational records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or similar field preferred.
• Valid Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement.
• 2 years of recent teaching experience.
