In this opportunity, you will:

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs
  • Deliver differentiated instruction to support academic and behavioral growth
  • Assess and track student progress, ensuring compliance and ongoing support
  • Develop proactive classroom management techniques to foster an inclusive environment
  • Drive collaboration with general education teachers, therapists, paraprofessionals, and families
  • Lead and participate in IEP meetings while maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders
  • Provide oversight and guidance to paraprofessionals supporting your classroom

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License
  • LBS1 endorsement (preferably K–12 coverage)
  • Experience supporting students with disabilities preferred
  • Well-developed communication, organizational, and classroom-management abilities
