Exciting opportunities are available for passionate Special Education Teachers ready to make a real difference in student lives. Multiple contract positions are open starting August 31, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027, serving learners across early elementary, middle, and high school grade levels.

Candidates will be placed based on experience and interest in the following caseloads:

  • Early Learning/Elementary
  • Middle School
  • High School

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based special education practices
  • Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities and implementing IEPs
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and administrators
  • Ability to adapt instruction and create an inclusive, supportive learning environment
  • Excellent communication, record-keeping, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ strengths and needs
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in alignment with curriculum and student goals
  • Monitor student progress, update goals, and communicate outcomes to families and staff
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and paraprofessionals to support student integration
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings, trainings, and professional development
  • Foster a positive, respectful classroom culture to maximize student growth and independence
