Located near Ypsilanti, MI, this opportunity focuses on providing exceptional support for young learners in a vibrant classroom environment. Work closely with a small group of 7-8 students, each benefiting from a collaborative team of three dedicated paraprofessionals and robust support services including speech, social work, occupational therapy, and ASD coaching.

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid elementary teaching certification and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) endorsement required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a closely related field.
• Experience or strong interest in working with children with ASD, especially in early elementary grades.
• Familiarity and comfort with implementing new curricula and adapting materials to meet each student’s unique learning profile.
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively with a full support team and paraprofessionals.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, families, and team members.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and individualized support for elementary-age students in an ASD classroom setting.
• Implement a newly adopted curriculum to promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Adapt lessons and instructional strategies to address varying needs and abilities.
• Collaborate daily with speech, OT, SSW, and ASD coach onsite.
