Position Overview
Soliant Education is seeking three onsite Elementary Resource Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time contract opportunity within the education industry, serving elementary students in supportive learning environments. The assignment begins August 24, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027, providing the opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the academic year.
Assignment Details
This is a full-time position with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Openings include two Elementary ASD-CI classroom assignments and one Elementary Resource Room assignment. Educators will collaborate with school staff to provide individualized instruction, implement student accommodations, and promote academic and social growth in accordance with each student's educational goals.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver individualized instruction that aligns with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) while fostering an engaging and supportive classroom environment. Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed. Maintain accurate documentation, participate in IEP meetings, complete required progress reports, and ensure compliance with state and district special education guidelines.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an active Michigan Special Education teaching license with either a Cognitive Impairment (CI) endorsement or an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) endorsement. Previous experience working with elementary students in resource or self-contained special education settings is preferred but not required. Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and classroom management skills are essential for success in this role.
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly pay ranges from $37.50 to $55.50 per hour, with compensation determined by factors such as years of experience, education, and overall qualifications. This is a 2026-2027 school year contract position with Soliant Education. Eligible employees receive health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and weekly pay.
