This role begins August 11, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027, providing 37.5 hours per week in a professional school setting. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support diverse learners in achieving their potential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility) recognized by California requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings strongly preferred
- Understanding of current instructional strategies, IEP processes, and differentiated educational techniques
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, and colleagues
- Positive, flexible attitude and commitment to fostering an equitable learning atmosphere
- Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and manage caseload responsibilities as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and instructional support to students with IEPs, utilizing best practices in special education
- Adapt curriculum to accommodate varying needs and levels of ability within the classroom
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to coordinate integrated services
- Regularly assess student progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals
