This opportunity seeks an experienced specialist in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education to provide full-time support within a K-12 school setting. The position runs from January 5, 2026, to June 5, 2026, and involves working onsite in an itinerant capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve a caseload of approximately 35 students ranging from infancy up to 22 years old.
- Provide early intervention services, including consultations and participation in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
- Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Collaborate with educational teams and families to ensure appropriate program planning and implementation.
- Utilize knowledge of Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) in early childhood intervention.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Authorization.
- Demonstrated experience working with infants and young children requiring early intervention.
- Strong skills in IEP development and consultation within a special education framework.
- Ability to manage and organize itinerant services effectively.
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners in an inclusive educational environment.
