You’ll support a low caseload—only four students across four campuses (three in Fort Worth and one in Dallas). The weekly commitment is just 3 hours, making it perfect for professionals who appreciate flexibility while focusing on quality individualized attention. As a backup candidate to a recent interview, you’ll be considered for prompt placement should the need arise.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (state-recognized credentials required)
- Demonstrated experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in educational settings
- Strong collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Ability to travel between multiple campuses (own transportation preferred)
- Passion for fostering communication, language development, and academic growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Implement strategies to facilitate effective communication and learning
- Collaborate closely with school staff, administration, and families to ensure each student's needs are met
- Provide recommendations and resources for classroom accommodations and teaching modifications
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in line with district and state guidelines
