What you bring:

• Valid teaching certification as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist
• Experience with auditory/oral, total communication, sign language, and/or cued speech
• Familiarity with IEP process and ability to provide direct and consultative services
• Strong collaboration and advocacy skills
• Ability to adapt instruction and materials for diverse learning needs
• Skilled in using assistive technology and accommodations to support access
• Excellent communication abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Previous school-based experience preferred

In this role, you will:

• Deliver specialized instruction based on students’ IEPs
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers
• Support staff in implementing accommodations and communication strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to appropriate educational planning
• Serve as a resource to families and advocate for students’ rights and needs
• Foster a positive, accessible classroom environment where every student thrives
• Aid in the transition of students between educational settings as needed
