Key Qualifications:

• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing

• Familiarity with assistive listening devices and adaptive educational technology
• Adaptability and a solution-oriented approach when meeting student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Assess students’ strengths and needs to develop appropriate learning goals
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers for effective inclusion
• Support students’ language, communication, and self-advocacy development
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings and progress reports
• Serve as a resource for staff and families on strategies for deaf/hard of hearing students
