Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
  • Experience working with students across a range of ages and abilities
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities
  • Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, including families, general education staff, and related service providers
  • Proven ability to create and adapt lesson plans and materials for diverse learners
  • Organizational skills and resourcefulness in managing caseloads and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to D/HH students in accordance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
  • Assess students’ language, academic, and social-emotional needs, and regularly monitor progress
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and growth
  • Provide consultation and training to staff regarding effective strategies and accommodations
  • Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources to support student success
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation promptly
