Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education.
• Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in educational settings.
• Strong knowledge of language development (including American Sign Language, Signed English, or other communication modes as appropriate).
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families.
• Passion for supporting student growth both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
• Develop and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Consult with general education teachers to implement appropriate classroom accommodations.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Facilitate strong communication between students, families, and school staff.
• Promote self-advocacy and social-emotional development for students.
