Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure or appropriate endorsement/certification as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (proof required during application process)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting
  • Familiarity with various communication modalities (ASL, oral, total communication, etc.)
  • Compassion, adaptability, and commitment to inclusive instructional practices
  • Strong collaboration skills for partnering with school staff and families

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring academic and language needs are met
  • Develop and implement specialized educational plans in alignment with IEP goals
