Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized educational plans for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Deliver differentiated instruction in both one-on-one and small group settings
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusive learning environments
  • Monitor and document students’ progress, providing regular feedback
  • Facilitate communication access by using assistive technology, interpreters, and visual supports
