Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or eligibility for state certification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized educational plans for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Deliver differentiated instruction in both one-on-one and small group settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusive learning environments
- Monitor and document students’ progress, providing regular feedback
- Facilitate communication access by using assistive technology, interpreters, and visual supports
