Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Biloxi, MS

Make a meaningful impact as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in a supportive educational environment near the Gulf Coast. Key Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure or certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
• Experience working within school settings preferred
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities
• Ability to adapt instructional materials and strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles
• Strong organizational skills and a collaborative, student-centered approach
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to each student’s needs
• Utilize specialized instructional techniques and assistive technology to support student learning
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusion and access
• Conduct assessments to determine student progress and adapt instruction as needed
• Advocate for student needs and help build awareness of DHH resources within the school community
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities
