Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or a related field
• Current state teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility to obtain)
• Strong knowledge of assistive technology, hearing devices, and individualized education planning (IEP)
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities
• Experience developing and implementing differentiated instructional strategies
• Excellent collaboration, advocacy, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver tailored instruction to students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, individually and in groups
• Consult regularly with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and classroom environments
• Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP meetings, documenting student progress
• Facilitate communication development, self-advocacy, and social integration for students
• Provide resources and training for colleagues and families to encourage inclusive practices
• Maintain records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
