What you’ll bring to the position:

• Current certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Passion for fostering communication and language development for students with hearing loss
• Experience with various communication modalities, including sign language, auditory/oral approaches, and assistive technology
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal abilities to partner with teachers, parents, and support staff

Role responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction tailored to students’ unique needs and strengths
• Assess and monitor student progress, adapting strategies as appropriate
• Consult with general education staff and administrators to ensure student accommodations
• Guide families on supportive resources and strategies
• Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain compliance with all educational requirements
