Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or related field
• Strong ASL proficiency and/or experience with auditory/oral approaches
• Previous experience working in K-12 settings preferred
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs specific to hearing needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, using appropriate communication modes
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to provide accessible curriculum
• Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to inform instruction and goals
• Support students' social, emotional, and academic development
• Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding hearing loss, assistive technology, and inclusion strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
