Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Hold a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education – Deaf Education (P–12), or
  • Possess a Special Education General Curriculum (P–12) certificate with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement
  • Solid background teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, integrating best practices and differentiated instruction
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Enthusiasm for supporting students’ academic and personal growth

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing at multiple school sites within the district
  • Adapt general education curricula to meet individual needs, ensuring compliance with IEPs and federal/state guidelines
  • Collaborate with general educators, interpreters, and related service providers
  • Provide resources and training to staff and families about Deaf/Hard of Hearing strategies and tools
  • Participate in IEP meetings, assessment planning, and progress monitoring
  • Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere that celebrates diversity and ensures accessibility

This exciting opportunity offers a part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, running from July 27th, 2026, through May 25th, 2027.
