Located in a supportive school environment near Burns, WY, you will leverage your specialized skills to develop tailor-made instructional plans and advocate for student success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field
  • Current state teaching certification or eligibility for certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a school setting
  • Knowledge of assistive technology, auditory/oral approaches, and sign language
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students with hearing impairments
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of students using a range of modalities, including visual and auditory supports
  • Support classroom teachers and staff in effective inclusion strategies
  • Communicate progress and strategies with families and team members
  • Participate in ongoing professional development
