Qualifications:
- Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience or training in serving K-12 students with hearing loss.
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Ability to adapt curriculum to address diverse hearing needs and support inclusion.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to D/deaf and Hard of Hearing students across multiple school sites.
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to develop and monitor IEPs.
- Provide consultation and resources to general education staff to maximize student participation.
- Foster a positive, accessible classroom environment for all learners.
- Stay current with best practices and advocacy for students with hearing loss.
