Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (state-specific credentials preferred)
• Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL), auditory/oral approaches, and assistive technology for hearing impairments
• Experience working in K-12 settings, supporting students with varying degrees of hearing loss
• Strong skills in IEP development, collaborative teaching, and family engagement
• Flexibility, excellent communication, and a student-centered mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to meet individual learner needs
• Collaborate with general and special educators to ensure classroom accessibility and successful integration
• Conduct assessments and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Partner with families and community agencies to support students’ communication and academic goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory guidelines
