Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) or eligibility for certification
• Experience providing direct and consultative services to DHH students preferred
• Strong knowledge of a variety of communication methods (oral, sign language, cued speech)
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Excellent collaboration skills to partner with teachers, staff, and families
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across grade levels
• Collaborate with general education teachers and therapists to modify curriculum and instructional strategies
• Assess student abilities and progress, maintaining accurate documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
• Consult with families and staff to support student advocacy and communication needs
• Offer training and resources on hearing assistive technology and best practices
• Facilitate positive peer relationships and inclusive participation for all students
