Make a meaningful impact as a Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a dynamic, supportive educational environment. This full-time contract opportunity is based in a well-established district in the northern Nashville area, serving a variety of campuses focused on fostering accessibility and growth for K-12 learners.

As a valued educator in this role, you will be assigned to DHH hubs—ranging from Pre-K and Elementary, with a new Middle School hub launching for the next school year. Caseloads may vary, offering both direct and consultative services shaped to meet current student needs. Your work will be guided by an established school calendar, running from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours each week.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

  • Valid and active Tennessee Department of Education (DOE) certification
  • Proven experience teaching students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH), spanning K-12
  • Ability to provide both instructional and consultative services across multiple age groups
  • Up-to-date TN fingerprinting, or willingness to obtain per new district requirements
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills within multidisciplinary teams

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction and support tailored to DHH students within the district’s dedicated hubs
  • Adapt teaching strategies and materials to individual student needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and IEP development
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and school staff
  • Provide ongoing consultation to support mainstreamed DHH students
