Empower students from kindergarten through 12th grade as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing in a dynamic contract role supporting learners in the Nashville area suburbs. This opportunity spans the full 2026–2027 academic year, engaging with students across district hubs, including specialized settings for Pre-K, Elementary, and the district’s newest Middle School program.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee Department of Education certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction
- Experience supporting K–12 students with hearing loss
- Insight into individualized education plans (IEPs) and student assessments
- Strong communication skills for consultations with staff and families
- Up-to-date Tennessee fingerprint clearance (or willingness to complete new district requirements before start)
- Flexibility to serve at various district schools based on assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultative services to students, educators, and families to foster student success
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources for varying age groups and learning needs
- Collaborate with district teams to support student IEP goals
- Stay informed on best practices for deaf/hard of hearing education
- Serve as a resource and advocate within the educational community
Schedule & Structure:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
- Assignment locations will correspond to district needs, with most services delivered onsite at DHH hub schools
