This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated professional certified as a Special Education teacher in Hearing Impairment (HI), committed to fostering a positive and accessible learning space.

Applicants should have strong expertise as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and a genuine passion for enabling every student to reach their full potential. As an in-person educator, you’ll work closely with students, staff, and families to promote both academic achievement and personal growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education certification in Hearing Impairment (HI)
  • Experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a school-based setting
  • Comprehensive understanding of instructional strategies for students with hearing loss
  • Proficiency in adapting curriculum and classroom environment for diverse needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with assistive technology for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver adapted instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, ensuring their inclusion in classroom activities
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and school teams to provide resources and strategies
  • Monitor student progress and adjust supports as needed
  • Create engaging, accessible learning materials and classroom environments
