Key Qualifications:

• Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in school settings
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, IEP processes, and assistive technologies for DHH students
• Comfort with traveling between different school sites within the district
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative educational services for students with hearing impairments across various schools
• Adapt and develop instructional materials and strategies to ensure accessibility and enhance student learning
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and progress updates
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to offer cohesive support
• Foster an inclusive environment that respects students’ diverse communication needs and backgrounds
• Utilize and troubleshoot assistive listening devices and technology as needed
